Discover one of the most emblematic medieval villages of Rioja Alavesa: Labastida.
Explore its heritage, its wines and its gastronomy on a day trip that starts in Plaza de la Paz. From there, have fun learning with our technological treasure hunt, an ideal activity for all ages and which the whole family can enjoy.
Once you have all the information you need, you will visit a centuries-old winery located in a magical enclave. Touring the cave, you will learn the secrets of the ‘Wines of Labastida’ and the history surrounding them.
After tasting the wines, what better way to end the day than enjoying a traditional menu including such favourite dishes as potatoes with chorizo and the famous chuletillas al sarmiento (vine shoot-grilled chops).
All of this can be done without leaving the village and without needing to take the car once you have arrived in Labastida.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday at 10:30.

Bodegas Luzón is a winery proud of its roots and the territory to which it belongs. We are one of the main producers and exporters of D.O.P Jumilla wine since its foundation by Don José de Molina. He was a commander of the Royal Armies stationed in the Philippines and decided to return to his native Jumilla after finishing his military career, naming his property “Finca Luzón” in honour of the island where he spent so much time and which always remained in his memory. Later, the history of our winery becomes even more special, when Don José De Molina decides to link the inheritance of his lands and his estate to the female branch of the family, a tradition that continued until the mid-80s.
